I consider a client of mine to be one of the smartest people I have ever met as well as one of the best business managers I have ever worked with. He continually demonstrates that it takes years of experience to develop into a solid business professional. He is eighty years old. He works a ten hour day. He takes care of his family and employees. He gives to the community and he is sure to give to those who deserve help. As he puts it “Give all the time and you will receive what is offered to you. But you must pay attention to the horizon. See what is coming and recognize what is offered.” Solid advice.
I was able to assist him recently again. He has been my client for twenty years. He takes advice well. He spends time to talk through all the ramifications of the decision. He thinks of its causes and effects long term. In short he is a good operator.
Take note. It takes time to be good at what you do. It takes time to learn the rules. But being a good person is in us from the start.
